The Ninth Meeting of the Board of Governors of the ECO Bank was held on June 23, 2011 with the participation of the distinguished governors, H.E. Shahid Hafiz Kardar, H.E. Dr. Hamid Borhani, H.E. İbrahim H. Çanakçı, the directors of the three member countries, H.E. Mohammed Yahya Maroofi, the Secretary General of Economic Cooperation Organization, and Former President of ECO Bank, Mr. Murat Ulus.
In the meeting, the Board of Governors discussed the recent activities of the Bank and exchanged their point of views about the latest developments in the financial markets as well as its repercussions to the ECO region.
In accordance with the Agenda of the Meeting, the Board of Governors reviewed the 2010 External Audit Report and approved 2010 Financial Statements.
The Board of Governors welcomed the application of Azerbaijan as a new member of the Bank.
H.E. Dr. Hamid Borhani, Vice-Governor of the Central Bank of Islamic Republic of Iran, has been selected as the Chairman of the Board for one year.
