The Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Trade and Development Bank signed a loan agreement with Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. on September 10, 2009 for the purpose of facilitating import and export financing needs of local corporate groups.

The “Short Term Trade Finance Facility” has been structured and approved by the Board of Directors at the 14^th Board Meeting, held on 25 September 2008 to provide the necessary support to the local companies of the ECO Bank member countries.  

Following the agreement signed with Türkiye Vakıflar Bankası TAO on January 15, 2009, Türkiye İş Bankası has become the second Turkish financial institution which has signed “Short Term Trade Finance Facility” Agreement with the ECO Bank.
